SMS POLICY
MessageUniverse sends SMS messages only to users who explicitly opt in. Written consent is collected in two locations: (1) during account signup when a phone number is provided, and (2) in your profile settings under Contact Info when you add or update your phone number. This page shows the exact consent checkbox and disclosure text we present at both locations, along with your rights and how to opt out.
Opt-In to SMS Notifications (Optional)
This reproduction matches the live signup form at /signup and the profile settings Contact Info section. The checkbox is unchecked by default and the SMS consent is a standalone opt-in — it is not bundled with any other agreement. The same disclosure text appears in both consent locations.

Program details
Categories of messages you may receive:
- Authentication & verification: one-time passcodes (OTPs) used to verify your phone number at signup and for account recovery.
- New message notifications: alerts when a letter addressed to you becomes available or is delivered.
- Reminders: subscription, delivery-window, or account reminders you have explicitly requested.
Message frequency varies. Approximately 2–4 messages per month on average. Message and data rates may apply.
Opting out and help
You can opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message from us. After you opt out, we will send a single confirmation message and will not send you further SMS communications unless you opt back in.
For assistance with SMS, reply HELP to any message from us, or email support@messageuniverse.com.
Privacy and consent
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile information (including phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent) with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with anyone for any reason other than delivering the messages you have requested.
Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of any purchase. You may use MessageUniverse without providing a mobile number or opting in to SMS communications.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. If you change or deactivate the mobile number on your account, you are responsible for updating your account promptly.
